Paradigm Spirits Co.
Cereal’s Legacy | Spirits Reborn Established: 2020
For over 90 years, the people of Old East Village in London woke to the familiar smell of cornflakes being made at the ginormous cereal production facility that occupied an entire city block. When Kellogg closed its doors in 2014, the facility was shuttered, jobs were lost, and the neighbourhood was left in a state of depression. Today, 100 Kellogg Lane is emerging as one of Canada’s leading destination properties, boasting an array of amazing amenities (and counting!) while playing host to year-round events onsite.
Paradigm Spirits Co. sits at the center of the excitement, in the Courtyard, where our artisan-crafted copper stills shine through the towering windows that welcome onlookers. Today our mission is quite simple: Make extraordinary spirits with a passion for innovation and a nod to tradition.
Paradigm Spirits seeks to reimagine Kellogg’s roots in cereal production into intriguing spirits for sophisticated imbibers in a boutique distillery.
W.K. Kellogg invented and introduced Canadians to Corn Flakes in 1914 and in 1924 the prolific founder purchased the iconic facility from the Canada Corn Company. The same cereal grains that Kellogg’s used to produce Corn Flakes and many other pantry staples are today being transformed into spirits and beer at Paradigm Spirits Co., and at neighbouring Powerhouse Brewing Company.
