Broadhead Brewing Company
Our story begins with four friends, a shared passion for great beer, and a humble garage. Brewing on a makeshift 20L rig – just a pot, a propane stand, and a few glass fermenters – the four big-noggined (or as they’d say, broad-headed) guys honed their craft. The feedback was so encouraging that demand quickly outpaced supply, and the dream of a commercial brewery took shape.
With only a fraction of the recommended startup capital, the founders relied on their engineering ingenuity – retrofitting equipment, sweat equity, and countless late nights. In the fall of 2011, Broadhead Brewery opened its doors in Ottawa, Ontario.
Over the past decade, we’ve been lucky enough to live that dream, sharing it with an incredible team and loyal customers. While we’ve come a long way from the garage days, our core remains the same: a relentless work ethic, a focus on high-quality, innovative-yet-approachable beer, and the engineering spirit that turns challenges into solutions.
